Training for the Unemployed
The Job Club helps unemployed people to find a job by providing guidance and training in job search, including telephone and interview skills, writing a CV and free use of directories, telephones, stationery etc.
Programmes offered:
- The workshop Ways to Find a Job
- The workshop Public Works I
- The workshop Public Works II.
With a total of more than 10.000 trainees, this service is designed for people who have recently become unemployed or have any of the following handicaps when seeking employment:
- An erratic employment record resulting from inappropriate behaviour
- Low self-esteem/poor self-presentation being a significant handicap at either starting or sustaining employment
- A low degree of education
- No significant work experience
- An extended period of unemployment
Individuals will be offered a series of tailored advisory interviews carried out by a personal advisor.
Objectives:
- to carry out training programmes that offer the best opportunities for peoople in the labour market;
- to develop work competence, manners and attitude that facilitate performance and generate motivation for continuous learning.
