Construction & Civil engineering students visit the renovation of the Maribor – Pesnica railway line

On Monday, 13 June 2022, students of the Construction & Civil Engineering program took part in a guided tour of the renovation of the Maribor – Pesnica railway line, the underpass structure, and the south portal as part of the Geotechnology course.

The professional excursion of the renovation of the Maribor – Pesnica railway line was made possible for the Civil Engineering students due to the complete closure of the railway traffic, as the railway line is undergoing works on the deviation, and at the same time, the underpass 3-1 is being constructed under the rails. The students were also able to see the excavation process and then analyze the excavated soils with lecturer Ksenija Štern.
