In the framework of the course Campaign Planning on Social Networks of the Economist – Digital Marketing and Commercialist module, we hosted Mr Mitja Pavlič, Business Director of Virtual IT d.o.o., a company with 30 years of experience in the field of information technologies.
Mr Pavlič introduced his company Virtual IT d.o.o., its growth, orientations and the main services offered to clients from different industries. He stressed the importance of flexibility in a rapidly changing digital environment. He shared some personal experiences from his business career, which gave the students an insight into the real challenges of entrepreneurship in the IT sector.
The main part of the lecture was dedicated to using artificial intelligence to manage and create content for social networks. Mr Pavlič gave concrete examples of the tools and practices used to increase the effectiveness of online campaigns and highlighted the importance of automation and data analysis in reaching the target audience.
He also stressed the key role of online security and the importance of properly handling personal data, passwords, and digital identities. He presented basic approaches to protecting user accounts and raising awareness of online risks among employees and users.
The lecture ended with a discussion on online etiquette, where Mr Pavlič pointed out the importance of respectful and professional communication in the digital space, which is an even more important factor in the personal and business spheres.
