Guest lecture by Igor Brejc, owner of ScalableMaps and freelance Back End and Front End programmer

Software Computing

As part of the course Website Development in Computer Science – Software Computing, we hosted the owner of ScalableMaps and freelance Back End and Front End programmer Mr. Igor Brejc.

During the guest lecture Mr. Brejc presented the work of front end and back end programmers on websites, web applications and Windows applications. In his early days he worked as a software developer in SMS networks and was part of back-end developers in banking, and he also worked in cartography, which then gave birth to the so-called Wikipedia of maps or geographic data called ScalableMaps.com. He was also employed by a major IT company, where he quickly noticed that companies of this size have a huge number of projects that employees can apply for and thus continuously gain new experience and knowledge.
