Mechanical engineering students visit Riedl Precision d.o.o.

Študentje višješolskega študijskega programa Strojništvo so v torek, 22. 04. 2025 , v sklopu predmeta Izdelava in vzdrževanje orodij obiskali podjetje Riedl Precision d.o.o., ki proizvaja kovinske izdelke za avtomobilsko, železniško in letalsko industrijo, strojegradnjo, finomehaniko in telekomunikacije.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, students of the Mechanical Engineering higher education program visited Riedl Precision d.o.o. as part of the Tool Manufacturing and Maintenance course. Riedl Precision d.o.o. manufactures metal products for the automotive, railway, and aviation industries, mechanical engineering, precision mechanics, and telecommunications.

Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by Rok Kos, a student at the Academy and future graduate in Mechanical Engineering, who first introduced them to the history of the company, its development, and its main areas of activity. RIEDL PRECISION d.o.o. manufactures high-precision metal components for the automotive, aerospace, medical, and other demanding industries. The company places particular emphasis on quality, material traceability, and continuous improvements in the production process.

During the tour, students had the opportunity to observe the operation of CNC machine tools, quality control processes, and automated production lines. The presentation of the use of various materials and metalworking techniques, which are key to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the final products, also aroused interest. The visit provided insight into the real challenges and solutions that the company faces in its daily work.
