The topic of this thesis focuses on the field of audio production, which has interested me for more than five years. My passion for creating and producing music led me to pursue formal education, where I gained knowledge not only in audio production but also in multimedia, which will support my future career.

This thesis presents the process of music creation using the digital audio workstation FL Studio. The production explored in the work spans multiple genres and includes techniques such as sampling and other creative approaches. It also highlights the progress of artificial intelligence (AI) and shows how it can enhance the workflow in modern music production.

The study describes in detail the production stage (melodies, drum patterns, and vocal recordings), the mixing stage (effects, compression, and equalization), and the final stage of mastering.

The purpose of this research is to emphasize the importance of the “in the box” approach, in which the entire creative process takes place in a digital environment, and to examine the role of AI in contemporary production. Artificial intelligence makes music production more accessible, improves efficiency, and opens new creative opportunities.

With AI, producers can experiment with ideas, automate tasks such as mixing and mastering, and achieve high-quality sound without expensive hardware like studio microphones, processors, or premium plug-ins..

The thesis also considers the limits of AI. While it can greatly simplify work, human creativity, intuition, and interpretation remain irreplaceable. Music is not only a technical product but also an artistic expression and personal experience. Full automation cannot replace the value of human input. The study examines where AI is most effective and where human involvement remains essential.

The main goal of this thesis is to demonstrate that combining the “in the box” approach with advanced AI tools can lead to high-quality music productions that are accessible even to amateur creators. In doing so, the research contributes to the discussion about the future of music production and the role of human creativity at a time when technological progress is enabling increasing automation of creative processes.
