PATHS – Personal support for young people for life and career in rural areas

PATHS (Personalised Approach to Territorial Life and Career Support) is a 36-month international project that gives young people from rural and less developed areas equal access to career advice and support for life choices. The project aims to reduce educational and social exclusion, prevent youth out-migration and strengthen lifelong learning opportunities.

The project is co-financed by the Interreg Danube Programme and has a total value of €2,516,726, of which €2,013,381 is from Interreg funds.

What does PATHS bring?

PATHS is a social innovation that brings together schools, municipalities, businesses, and NGOs to create support services for young people in their local environment. It promotes sustainable rural development and reduces brain drain.

Key activities:

  • Organisation of youth camps “I own my path!” for career exploration.
  • Training of mentors – teachers, parents, coaches and other professionals.
  • Piloting and transfer of the transnational LPSS model, which will continue after the end of the project.

The project brings together 13 partners from 9 countries in the Danube Region to jointly develop innovative and locally tailored solutions to support young people:
