ANCHOR (Public-Private Partnership and transnational exchange for better labour market governance to effectively tackle negative impacts of demographic change in the Danube Region) is a 30-month international project addressing demographic changes such as ageing populations, out-migration of young people and uneven regional development.
The project is co-funded by the Interreg Danube Programme and has a total value of €2,086,300.00, of which €1,669,040.00 is contributed by Interreg funds.
What does ANCHOR want to achieve?
To increase the capacity of institutions to respond more effectively to negative demographic impacts, with a focus on public-private cooperation and vulnerable social groups.
Key activities:
- Developing common strategies for managing the labour market in the face of demographic change.
- Developing and piloting innovative solutions in the Danube regions, based on a common strategy but adapted to local conditions (e.g. talent attraction and retention programmes, inclusion of people with disabilities).
- Establishing and operating local labour market forums that bring together representatives of the public sector, employers, educational institutions, and NGOs.
- Preparation of a practical handbook for improved labour market governance in the Danube Region, accessible to all stakeholders.
- Creation of an online transnational platform (Observatory) to provide access to data, good practices and results.
