Daniel Perdiguero, a staff member and Head of the International Office, recently visited JUST University of Science and Technology in Jordan on behalf of the VSŠ Academia.
VSŠ Academia has already cooperated with the Jordan University of Science and Technology in the framework of the Erasmus+ cooperation project KA107 – International Credit Mobility, where it has already hosted staff and students from our partner institution in Jordan.
In the framework of the last cooperation, a student mobility participant undertook a five-month practical training at the Academia for her studies. We have also submitted several proposals with JUST in the past, including a specific call on digital readiness in the complex COVID-19 period and the sudden transition to distance learning, which was unsuccessful.
In the framework of the Erasmus+ cooperation project KA107 – International Credit Mobility, VSŠ Academia in Slovenia has already hosted staff and students from the partner institution in Jordan. In the most recent cooperation, a participant in the student mobility for studies undertook a five-month internship at the Academia. In the past, the two institutions have also submitted several proposals, including a specific call on digital readiness in the complex era of COVID-19 and the sudden transition to remote learning, which was unsuccessful.
The purpose of Mr Perdiguero’s visit was also to improve institutional cooperation by discussing the development of joint initiatives for the next calls and planning the implementation of greater mobility. The call for “capacity building in higher education”, which included some of the initiatives discussed, involved partnerships on a larger scale and would have a country-wide impact.
The trip included visits to several Rectorates, the International Relations Office, and job shadowing of the Office’s specific tasks. During his stay, he established contacts with the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum and took part in cultural excursions around the country.
