In the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021, students of the Media Production study programme, Photography module, participated in the course Project Work in Photography..
The course included a participatory approach towards learning, encouraging students to encounter new learning situations in a controlled learning environment, where they could experience photographic work and outdoor production.
Students also took part in professional excursions to Ormož, the Bistrica Vintgar in Slovenska Bistrica and the Expano Pavilion in Murska Sobota. Among the activities carried out was a visit to the distributor of Fujifilm and Sigma in Slovenia, which enabled them to explore different areas of photography in depth and to see the editing process at a professional level.
The course culminated in the submission of a final project that encouraged students to reach the highest possible level of creativity, to step out of their comfort zone and to seize opportunities for innovation and experimentation.
Following the success of this year’s work, this approach to fieldwork will be implemented on a regular basis in the next academic year 2021/2022.
