Final meeting of DSA project partners in Italy

From 27 to 28 April 2023, the final partners’ meeting of the DSA – Digital Skills for All project took place in the picturesque Italian region of Umbria, specifically in the town of Citta Di Castelo. In addition to the Academy and the Italian leaders Detto E Fatto, there was one partner from Italy, two from Spain, and one each from Romania and Croatia. All the representatives gathered for a final meeting hosted by ASP Giovanni Ottavio Bufalini, the Italian School Centre for Professional Education.

The visit included a tour of the school’s premises and educational programs, a closing meeting of the partners, and a final conference of the lead partner, where the consortium presented the results of the project to the Italian teachers. The conference also included three expert lectures, which trained the participating teachers on digital innovative teaching methodologies suitable for pupils with special educational needs.

Developing digital skills and innovative approaches to teaching that are accessible to all, including students with disabilities, was also a central thread throughout the DSA project. Between 2021 and 2023, the DSA focused on testing and informing innovative teaching methodologies integrated with digital tools. The project aimed to bridge the digital divide and promote the critical, conscious, and creative use of technology in education.

Three multi-day international training events and several free webinars were organised to facilitate dialogue between VET providers and professionals in the digital sector. In addition to the meetings, the project also resulted in:

  • a comparative analysis of inclusive teaching among the project partner countries
a report on the applicability of the Flipped Classroom methodology in VET
    a toolkit for didactic planning
