Field exercises for media production students – video production module at Ptuj Television

Video Production

Students of Media Production – Video Production module have started two-week field exercises within the course Project Work in Video Production on Wednesday, 24 April 2024 at Ptuj Television (PeTV), which will be led by the lecturer of the course, Samir Bajrić.

Field exercises are an important opportunity for media production students to gain hands-on experience in video production and creation, and to learn first-hand about the workings of the media environment. These exercises are part of the study program and allow students to apply the theoretical knowledge they gain in lectures to practical projects. During the field exercises, students gain experience in different areas of video production, including shooting, editing, lighting, sound, and scriptwriting. The work is carried out under expert guidance, allowing students to develop their skills and hone their abilities.

Working with broadcasters can also open the door to internships or jobs in the media industry, as employers can see their work and skills. This link between student work and industry is key to preparing students for a successful career in video production, but it also allows students to connect with other creatives and professionals in the media industry, which can lead to further opportunities for collaboration and networking.
